When I was a kid, I was afraid of the dark.
As most little ones are.
Truth be told, I was more afraid of what was in the darkness, than of the darkness itself.
I was scared that something scary would find its way in.
As I got older the darkness became my friend.
It made no sense to fear what was in the darkness around me,
When I had become what I had once feared.
